Martin the Alien has arrived on Earth and he wants to know how to make a Healthy Hamburger. Here is a procedure, using the correct structure and language, to instruct Martin on how to make my favourite healthy hamburger.

Title: chicken burger

Ingredients/Materials:

sesame seed bun

lettuce

chicken patty

tomato sauce

cheese

Method:

1. Put the chicken patty on a tray then put it in the oven and cook it.

2. Grate the cheese.

3. Take pieces of the lettuce and cut.

4. Get tomato sauce and squirt same on the patty.

5. Get a bun and cut it in half.

6. TAke a half of the bun. Put the patty on it. Sprinkle the cheese on the patty. Place the lettuce on the cheese.

7. Eat and enjoy [:^)   

Animal Report

I have been learning how to write an animal report using the correct language and structure.

Here is my report about Penguins.

Penguins

Penguins are like birds but don't fly because their wings are small.

Appearance

Penguins have a black  back with a white front. Babies have a grey body with a black face. Penguins have short orangey, yellow feet and babies have black feet.  Their bodies are covered in feathers. Also penguins are quite fat.

Diet

Penguins like fish and they like squid, mostly squid. They don't have to swim deep for fish but they have to swim deep for squid. When they catch a fish or a squid they eat it and the come back to the surface and give it back to its baby.

Habitat

Penguins live in Antarctica and are found in the Southern Ocean.

Reproduction

Penguins lay eggs in feathers. They come to land to mate and lay eggs in winter. Some penguins makes nests using rocks. They lay 1 or 2 eggs and they take turns to keep it warm. The babies crack out of their eggs with a egg tooth.  

Penguins are under threat because of global warming.

My group did parachute for the science fair. We found out that the big square parachute glided and landed safer than the long parachute and the small parachute.

My Holiday

“Yay!” I shouted, “it’s Wednesday.” I woke up at 8:30 and we had to leave at 9:30. Mum was up. My sisters were still asleep, my dad was at work so he couldn't came. When we were all up and ready we left to Whangarei. We went in my grandads white car because my mums car was low on petrol and my grandad had flown over from Australia. On the way to Whangarei we played I spy.

Finally we arrived in Whangarei. We parked by Farmers. My mum had to buy a ticket and then we walked into town.  My sister Maddy and I went with grandad. We walked into a shop but I forgot to get my money from my mum so my grandad paid for it. Then we went to another shop and I brought a beanie. We were hungry so we got some morning tea. I had a sausage roll, which was warm and a can of L&P. It was refreshing. Maddy had a hot chocolate with two marshmallows, one pink one white, and some cake. My grandad had a large cup of coffee. It actually came in a bowl. Then my sister and mum walked up the ramp and sat down next to us. My mum got a coffee that was medium and my sister Jess didn't want anything because she is gluten free and vegan. She only eats chicken and eggs.

When we got back to the car we put in the stuff that my mum and sister brought then we went to Farmers. I went up stairs where the toys are. I wanted to get some lego. I wanted some Jurassic World toys and some ugly pet shops. I got a pack of ugly pet shops and I got a bomanoka of Jurassic World and a little pack of lego city.

Hunted

HUNTED

One night in the dark, dark sky sat a full moon. In the jungle a young kid appeared from behind a green bush. Ssmmm! He smelt something so he went to check it out. He went through a cage and jumped over boxes. There it was. A golden, cooked chicken. ‘Slurp!’ He licked his lips. He jumped down and tiptoed to the box with the chicken on it. Creak, He fell down it a hole. It was a trap. Click!The hunter took a picture and blinded him with a camera. The hunter held out the wishbone as he ate the last piece of chicken. He said, “don't be sad, it could be your lucky day.” The boy snapped the wishbone and won. He used it to unlock his padlock while the hunter went off upset. When the hunter realised the boy has escaped he took off. He chased him until the came to a hole. Suddenly the boy saw the camera and grabbed it. He blinded the hunter just in time. He took off, jumping over the boxes. The hunter charged after him like a gorilla. The boy led him into a cage. The bars knocked the hunter out.In the morning the hunter woke to find himself hanging above all the jungle people dancing and singing.

First Narrative

SLUMBERPARTY

Heaw! I woke up on the beach in the middle of nowhere. WAKE UP EVERYBODY!!! They all woke up and chucked their clothes on their back and took off into the jungle. We went off to catch some food for breakfast time. What's for breakfast? Pig. “YUM!!!” they all shouted. Nam nam nam. ‘More please.’ No, no more we have to save some for the trip to another island. “Greer, what was that?” Jackie whispered. Poof! It sounds like something big. A lion, no, a tiger, no, a jugar, no, its a mammoth with huge tusks charging like it just wants to kill us. “AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!” they all screamed. “This way,” I yelled, “head into the water and swim to that island over there. “What about the crocodiles?” “Swim around them, Jackie” AAAA!!! “Don't worry about him, lets go!” Finally we arrived safely on the island.

LINDSAY THE RALLY CO-DRIVER

40 years ago when Linsday was 20 she began driving a rally car. She is now a co-driver. Her highest speed is 216km p/hr. She has only came 1st once. She keeps her rally car at a garage where mechanics look after it. The car has to be light so everything is stripped out of it. She has to wear protective gear made of natural fibres so it doesn't catch on fire easy.

Chromebook

Yippee! I was in the classroom. I was soooo excited. Mrs Henderson gave the chromebook to me. When everyone had their box sitting in front of them Mrs Henderson set the timer. We all shouted 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1! We all opened our shiny chromebooks. Wow! “Now room 7 line up!” Mrs Craig shouted . Carry your chromebook with two hands and put it on your desk. I couldn’t wait to use it.
